Collaboration

Work with us

This guide grows by hearing from the people who run its rooms, stages, shops, and events. Here is how to reach the editorial desk and what to expect.

Suggest a place

If a restaurant, bar, shop, studio, or public space is missing from the directory — or a listing is out of date — tell us. Every record is verified against the business's own published information before it appears, and listings are editorial: no venue can pay for placement, a rating, or a recommendation.

Submit an event

Performances, markets, classes, openings, and community gatherings are welcome for the events coverage. Send the official event page or organizer link — listings are published only with a verifiable source, a real date, and a real venue. Annual traditions without confirmed current dates are labeled as such, not presented as upcoming events.

Editorial coverage and partnerships

Businesses, artists, and organizers can propose editorial features, hosted visits, or clearly labeled partnerships. Two rules do not bend: sponsored material is always labeled as sponsored, and no arrangement promises positive coverage, a ranking, or a particular audience. Independent editorial listings stay distinct from any paid placement.

How to reach the desk

This site runs without contact forms by design. The fastest route is the contact page, which lists the current channel for editorial correspondence. Include the official website or organizer page for anything you submit — it speeds up verification.

What we publish, and what we do not

Coverage is limited to Plaza Midwood and clearly labeled nearby destinations. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, or first-hand visits; researched profiles are distinguished from documented experience, and every directory record carries its sources. Read the editorial methodology for the full standard.

What a strong submission includes

The submissions that publish fastest share the same few ingredients: the business or event's official name exactly as it appears on its own website, a street address on or near Central Avenue, The Plaza, Commonwealth Avenue, or another Plaza Midwood street, a link to the official website or organizer page, and a short plain-language description of what a visitor will actually find. Hours, prices, and menus are not copied into the directory as fact — they change too often — so the record points readers to the business's own page for anything time-sensitive.

Where submissions appear

Verified places join the relevant sections of the guide: the restaurant directory, coffee and cafés, nightlife, breweries, or shopping, and they become available to the ready-made itineraries on Plan Your Weekend. Performances, exhibitions, and recurring traditions are considered for events and art and music. Every published place is also placed on the neighborhood map so readers can see how it sits on the corridor.

Corrections and updates

Closures, moves, renamed businesses, and changed websites matter as much as new listings. If a record is wrong, send the corrected detail with a link that confirms it. Corrections are checked against the business's own published information and applied to every page where the record appears — the directory card, the map, and any itinerary that includes it.

Coverage for homes, building, and design

This guide also covers housing, renovation, and design in Plaza Midwood. Editorial pages such as homes, renovating, and historic homes are written from public records and published standards, not from paid placement. Plaza Midwood Living is published within the Peters family of websites; that relationship is disclosed on every page and explained on the advertising disclosure and portfolio pages.

What happens next

There is no automated acknowledgment and no fee at any stage. Submissions are reviewed in the order they arrive; anything that cannot be verified from an official source is held until it can be. Published additions and corrections show up in the directory and, when they matter to a durable subject, inform future entries in the weekly Plaza Midwood Journal.
